Now, some aboriginals want Champlain’s statue removed. It’s in Orillia, Ont., but a Quebec tribe wants it gone. A Quebec Mohawk tribe is also attempting to stop the western Canadian ‘Trans Mountain’ pipeline. Why are these tribes interfering with activities outside their so-called ‘traditional territories’? Why are government officials listening??
“A ‘First Nation’ {aboriginal} community does not want to see the Champlain monument back at Couchiching Beach Park in Orillia. A letter was sent to the City by Grand Chief Konrad H. Sioui of the {Quebec} Huron-Wendat ‘First Nation’ {‘Nation’ Huronne Wendat, a ‘nation’ of 4,047 people}.
“…In the letter, Sioui says his ‘nation’ does not support the
‘re-installment of Park Canada’s offensive and degrading monument‘.
“He says such action would undermine and challenge {one-way} ‘reconciliation’ efforts with ‘indigenous peoples’.
{Aboriginal leadership is now using ‘reconciliation’ at virtually every turn as a means of always getting their way. That’s why we accurately refer to it as {one-way} ‘reconciliation’…}
“Mayor Steve Clarke acknowledged the wishes stated in the letter {Why? They’re not part of your community…} and says there are different parts in the story of Samuel de Champlain’s arrival to Orillia. He says that story needs to be told accurately and that is the goal of the ‘stakeholders’.
“Clarke says the way it is depicted right now is not accurate. He says the people who brought the project forward, after speaking with the Chippewas of Rama {a ‘nation’ of 1,915 people}, all parties want to make sure they tell an accurate story. Clarke says whenever we look into a part of history in Canada, it should be put into context.
“The Champlain monument was taken down by Parks Canada in 2017 so work can be done to restore it.”

“The founder of Quebec City and one of the most charismatic figures in Canadian history, Samuel de Champlain opened up the St Lawrence river and extended French influence throughout the Great Lakes basin.
“Samuel de Champlain was born in 1580 and by the time he passed way in 1635, he was known as the father of New France…”

‘Mi’kmaq Bullies Get Their Way’ (Cornwallis Statue) {February 8, 2018}:
“A recent decision by the Halifax City Council to tear down their own city’s history is but the latest example of a nation eager to dismantle its founders. Mayor Mike Savage and the city councillors who have voted to remove the statue of Edward Cornwallis have betrayed their duty to Haligonians and Canadians.”

This whole “bullying”, “dictatorial” thing by the Aboriginals who are doing this nonsense have and are going to far — if we had a government who were leaders, this BS would not be allowed and pandering to them would stop. We don’t have to worry about Muslims/ISIS, etc so much as our concern should be the many Aboriginals who are wrecking Canada with their demands, protests, blame/victim game and hatred. No good can come of this. Canadians have had enough and we will/are turning on it and them!! I can’t be more blunt than that because they are creating their own problems and the alienation.
