‘Creating A Segregated, Parallel Legal System In Canada’

In an age when we are actively trying to move beyond the differential and discriminatory treatment of people based on race/ethnicity, here we have the Canadian legal profession actively and eagerly setting up a parallel, segregated legal system!
ALL Canadians should be subject to the same legal provisions.
We DEMAND this as Canadian citizens!
We say ‘NO’ to segregated legal systems…

“A new law program at the University of Victoria is the world’s first to combine the intensive study of both ‘indigenous’ {‘primitive’} and ‘non-‘indigenous’ {‘modern’} law, enabling people to work fluently across the two realms {WHY?}.

“Students will graduate with two professional degrees, one in ‘Canadian Common Law’ (Juris Doctor or ‘JD’) and one in ‘Indigenous’ Legal Orders’ (Juris ‘Indigenarum’ Doctor or ‘J‘I’D’). Their education will benefit areas such as environmental protection, ‘indigenous’ governance, economic development, housing, child protection and education—areas where currently there is an acute lack of legal expertise to create institutions that are grounded in ‘indigenous’ peoples’ law {This is Canada and we use CANADIAN law!} and to build productive partnerships across ‘the two legal systems’.

“This joint-degree program is also a direct response to a ‘call of action’ from the {Partial} Truth and {One-way} Reconciliation Commission to establish ‘indigenous’ law institutes for the development, use and understanding of ‘Indigenous Law’”,
says UVic President Jamie Cassels…

“The provincial government included funding for the new program in ‘BC Budget 2018’, delivered Feb. 20, as one of several initiatives and another step in BC’s commitment to work with ‘indigenous’ peoples to build true and lasting {one-way} ‘reconciliation’, anchored by the government’s commitment to the {unConstitutional} ‘United Nations Declaration on the Rights of ‘Indigenous’ Peoples.

“Even for a government with a disproportionate aboriginal influence, implementing the racist and anti-Canadian United Nations Declaration on the Rights of ‘Indigenous’ Peoples {UNDR‘I’P} is proving to be a political and economic impossibility.”
