No politics tonight people, music is for everyone. It’s a night to unite as proud Canadians, and say goodbye, and thank you to our national treasure, The Tragically Hip. It’s their last concert on the ‘Man Machine Poem Tour’, in Kingston Ontario, Canada, where they started in 1984.
The CBC is broadcasting it and have links to various ways to listen to and watch the broadcast, from anywhere around the world. I have also posted it below.
Live streams are happening all across the country in bars, restaurants & home parties.
5:30pm on the west coast, 8:30pm out east
Saturday August 20th TODAY!
Please share, and please do your self a favour and tune in. I (Michele Tittler) saw their first concert in Vancouver, and it was a magical experience. This has been an outstanding tour full of huge love, and tonight is the last night.
Please remember why we are here, why we are doing this, and who it’s going to benefit and unite…ALL OF US. Let’s find the reason tonight, to remember why we should be grateful for our lives in Canada, and what it is to be Canadians. We will be united tonight, and we need to keep finding ways and reasons to unite.
Thank you isn’t enough to say to these guys, their music is the pulse of the Canadian spirit, the fabric of our lives, a galvanizing force we are so lucky to have been a part of.
